A Workbook and Study Guide to a Child's History of the World By Virgil M. Hillyer With Answer Key
This is a workbook and study guide to accompany A Child's History of the World by Virgil M. Hillyer. During elementary school, Hillyer's book and this workbook can be used as a history spine over multiple years or as an overview of history over one year. This workbook is probably best suited for second and third graders, although advanced first graders could use it as well. It could also be used by fourth graders that could benefit from a history overview and writing practice. This workbook was created to help students focus on the key parts of each chapter to provide better comprehension and retention than might happen with reading alone. Many of the short answer questions are conducive to written and verbal narrations. It is not necessary to print the included answer key.

While this is not an Orthodox curriculum specifically, the workbook guides students to think through Hillyer’s book using a Biblical lens through short answer questions and supplemental information.

ENRICHMENT
Orthodox Christian Morning Time Curriculum
We have just released a brand new curriculum for Orthodox Christian homeschoolers that includes a year of memory work, copy work, and enrichment. Similar to Classical Conversations and Catholic Schoolhouse, but also inspired by Charlotte Mason. Instead of history sentences, we include memory work about saints, and in place of science, we include poetry. We will also be singing hymns each day about the saints we are learning about! There is also catechism from the catechism book by St. Philaret, Metropolitan of Moscow. (Audio files may be forthcoming.)
A Workbook and Study Guide to A Story of the Greeks by H.A. Guerber
STORY OF THE GREEKS
WORKBOOK
I hope you will enjoy this workbook and study guide to The Story of the Greeks by H.A. Guerber. This study guide contains short answer questions to Chapter 13 through 123 of the book. I skipped the first 12 Chapters because many of the stories were already familiar to my son and I through our study of Greek myths. In general, these first chapters contain more Greek myths and less history.

Since Greek history is very relevant to the beginnings of Christianity, and Orthodox Christianity in particular, this curriculum may be of specific interest to Orthodox Christians.
